Cultural appropriation is a stupid invention and talking about it seems stupid to me too. I am stupid for talking about it at this time. Nobody owns anything in this world, not even their own body. Therefore, the fact that someone, or a community, or a race, or a nation, creates a tradition, customs or fashions, I do not think that gives them the right to appropriate them for themselves. Let's imagine that an Ecuadorian architect cannot make a skyscraper similar to those in New York because, oh, heavens! it could be cultural appropriation. A white person cannot sing reggae, The Police would disappear. A white girl cannot wear dreadlocks, what a sin! She is not from Jamaica. Stupid, stupid and more stupid.

I believe in giving value to artistic and cultural creation, etc., but taking all this to these extremes is too much. It is even very bad, because in the cultural exchange we all enrich ourselves, and we cannot be saying on the one hand that we respect diversity and on the other hand want to prohibit the exchange of cultural and artistic flows.

I am Spanish, and I love to see Madonna sing and dance La Isla Bonita...

And then there is the demagogy and hypocrisy, so typical of Kamalistas, Baidenistas, etc. They cry out loud when a white artist wants to sing soul, but if a girl from Kenya sings pop, that's not it. Let's put our feet on the ground, and let things flow... positively and freely.
